  4. Choose "Upload PDF for Checking" and upload your PDF
  5. Resolve any errors and re-upload if required
  6. Download the IEEE PDF eXpress–approved PDF from the confirmation email
  7. Do not rename the approved PDF

  • Perform plagiarism check using standard tools such as Turnitin or iThenticate.
  • Overall similarity index and AI-generated plagiarism must be less than 20%, excluding references.
  • Save the plagiarism report as: PaperID_plag.pdf

  • Complete the IEEE Electronic Copyright Form (ECF) through Microsoft CMT.
  • Download the completed copyright form.

  • Prepare the reviewer response report using the provided template.

Compress all required files into a single ZIP file and upload to the Microsoft CMT camera-ready portal. The ZIP must contain:

  • IEEE PDF eXpress–approved camera-ready PDF (do not rename)
  • PaperID_plag.pdf
  • PaperID_ecf.pdf
  • PaperID_Reviewer_Response_Report.pdf

  • At least one author of each accepted paper MUST register via the registration link and complete the payment.
  • All IEEE members must upload their IEEE Membership ID in the registration portal.
  • Student/faculty authors must upload a Student ID card or Bonafide Certificate and bring it to the conference.

Author Guidelines and Policies

General Guidelines to Authors

The following instructions assist authors in preparing and submitting manuscripts to ICIMRBE'26 – 2nd International Conference on Innovations in Mechanical, Robotics, Computing and Biomedical Engineering, organized under the IEEE Kerala Section. Authors are requested to read all instructions carefully before submission.

Originality of Submitted Papers
  • Papers must present original, unpublished research not under review elsewhere.
  • All submissions are subject to the IEEE anti-plagiarism policy.
  • Authors are solely responsible for the originality of the content.
  • Any form of plagiarism will result in immediate rejection.
Paper Submission Guidelines
  • Papers must follow the IEEE standard two-column conference format (A4 size).
  • Manuscript length: 6 to 8 pages, including figures, tables, and references.
  • Literature-review-only papers are not permitted.
  • Papers exceeding 8 pages will be rejected without review.
  • Submissions must be anonymous (no author names, affiliations, acknowledgments).
  • Page numbers should not be included.
  • Manuscripts not strictly following IEEE format will be rejected without review.
Paper Upload and Submission System
  • All papers must be submitted in PDF format via the Microsoft CMT system.
  • Authors may need to create a CMT account before submission.
  • During submission, authors must provide:
    • Paper title
    • Abstract (maximum 250 words)
    • Relevant keywords
  • The Microsoft CMT service is used for managing the peer-review process and is provided free of charge by Microsoft.
Manuscript and Submission Guidelines

Authors are required to follow the following manuscript guidelines:

  • Submitted manuscripts should be structured as technical papers representing original unpublished research NOT currently under review elsewhere.
  • Manuscripts must be eight pages; single-spaced, double-column using 10-point font on 8.5×11 inch pages (IEEE conference style), including figures, tables, and references.
  • IEEE conference style templates for MS Word and LaTeX are available at IEEE Conference Templates. Papers not following style guidelines may be rejected without review.
  • Electronic submissions must be in the form of a readable PDF file.
  • Submitted manuscripts will undergo mandatory plagiarism screening as per IEEE guidelines.
  • All submitted manuscripts will be reviewed under a double-blind review process:
    • Submitted papers should NOT list any author names, affiliations, or personally identifiable information.
    • References to your own work should be in the third-person.
    • Submissions will be judged on correctness, originality, technical strength, significance, potential impact, quality of presentation, and relevance.
  • The author list and order at submission is final — no additions, removals, or re-ordering after the deadline.
  • Papers not following size, formatting, and anonymization requirements will be rejected without review.
  • Upon acceptance, at least one author must register and present the paper. Each accepted paper requires an individual author registration.
  • Authors of every published paper must sign a copyright transfer agreement per IEEE policy.
  • All accepted and presented papers will be submitted for inclusion into IEEE Xplore, subject to meeting IEEE Xplore's scope and quality requirements.
Review Process
  • Mandatory plagiarism screening as per IEEE guidelines.
  • Double-blind peer-review process.
  • Authors must not identify themselves or their institutions directly or indirectly.
  • Papers are evaluated based on originality, technical quality, significance, presentation quality, and relevance.
  • The author list and order at submission time is final.
Acceptance and Registration Policy
  • Papers may be accepted as Regular Papers.
  • At least one author must register and present the paper.
  • Each accepted paper requires an individual author registration.
Publication Policy
  • All accepted and presented papers will be submitted for possible inclusion in IEEE Xplore.
  • Inclusion is subject to:
    • Successful peer review
    • Conference registration
    • Paper presentation
    • Compliance with IEEE formatting and copyright requirements
Camera-Ready Paper and Copyright
  • Prepare the final manuscript strictly using the IEEE conference template.
  • Validate the final PDF using IEEE PDF eXpress™ (mandatory).
  • Maximum length of final manuscript: 8 pages.
  • Upload the IEEE Xplore–compliant PDF through CMT.
  • Complete the IEEE Electronic Copyright Form (eCF).
  • Complete conference registration with payment before camera-ready submission.
  • Failure to comply with IEEE template or PDF eXpress requirements will result in non-inclusion in IEEE Xplore.
